Cecilia Eklund

Cecilia has over 20 years’ press and communications experience, most recently as Communications Director and Chief Press Officer for the City of Helsingborg. She has also worked as an advocacy strategist and a press officer at national, regional and local levels.

Cecilia worked for five years in the Government Offices and the Swedish Parliament with leading representatives and the leadership of the Social Democratic Party. She has experience in the European Parliament and as a senior consultant with assignments from business and the trade union movement. She was also Advocacy Executive at the Swedish Municipal Workers’ Union for three years.

Cecilia holds a bachelor’s degree in organisational sociology from Lund University. She has also studied development assistance information at Brunnsvik Folk High School and Spanish at Malaca Instituto outside Málaga.
