Johannes Hylander

Johannes is one of the founders and principal owners of New Republic Public Affairs. He is Senior Public Affairs Advisor with extensive experience in managing corporate communications, advocacy and operations management projects. He specialises in strategic and analytical projects at the intersection of economy, society and politics.

Johannes works primarily in the fields of the Swedish labour market, education, research, innovation, culture and infrastructure. He has worked, for example, with the

Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, Akademiska Hus, Örebro University, Region Skåne, the Swedish Artists’ and Musicians’ Interest Organisation and the Swedish Performing Arts Association. He is often hired as a moderator.

Johannes has held leading higher education and union positions and served on the boards of several government agencies. He has also been active in local politics and holds a master’s degree in political science from Uppsala University.
