Paulo Silva

Paulo is one of the founders and principal owners of New Republic Public Affairs. He is Senior Public Affairs Advisor, often to CEOs or management teams, and has extensive strategic communications experience. His area of focus is challenging projects in markets heavily dependent on local, regional and national political decisions and processes.

Paulo mainly works on projects on sustainability, industrial policy, the circular economy, the climate, labour migration and other issues of fundamental importance for various industries. He has extensive experience in working with large organisations, such as the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries and the Swedish Shipowners’ Association. He also advises small and large companies in radically changing disruptive industries.

Paulo often undertakes demanding projects where success is crucial for investments or fundamental economic conditions for organisations. He has worked at, among other places, the Ministry of Finance, served as Chief of Staff for the Swedish Green Party’s spokespersons and worked as a political coordinator for the Swedish Green

Party and the European Green Party during the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. He has also sat on government commissions and served on the boards of municipal companies. In addition to that, Paulo holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stockholm University.
